When new members purchase a program from Beachbody, and not directly from the Beachbody coach who referred them, they are assigned a coach at random. As a result, some people want to make that change and work with the Beachbody Coach who made a commitment to them.  It’s a very common situation, and easily rectified.

However, there are a number of other reasons why someone may want to change their Beachbody Coach. Here are some of the more common reasons.

  • Their assigned coach may or may not be in line with their fitness goals and program
  • Lack of support from their current coach (don’t know who coach is)
  • Current coach is no longer active
  • Current coach only uses coach account for 25% discount; not active

Some coaches are just in it for the 25% discount on Beachbody programs and don’t have a desire to actually “coach” others to be successful. That is perfectly fine.  25% is a hefty discount and well worth it for only $16.00 a month.  Heck, the discount on Shakeology is worth more than that (check with me on details for this as well).  Nonetheless, if you have a coach that is active and takes an interest in your goals, do the right thing and discuss your concerns with him/her as to why you are considering making a change. Communication is a key component in your success.  So if you have an ACTIVE Coach, give them a chance to right any wrongs that he/she may not be aware he/she is doing. Remember, we are a family here and we all should watch each others back.

However, if you fall under one of the three areas listed above,  it is a safe bet that a change is in order. Otherwise, you are missing out on one of the major benefits that you have at your finger tips. An active coach that takes your needs into consideration is a vital part of your success, and something Beachbody doesn’t take lightly.

To change your assigned Beachbody Coach, you will just need to send an email to  Here’s what the email would look like:

My user name is (your user / screen name) and my email account is: (your email address) and my name is (your name).

NOTE:  Your email should be sent from the email address you use to log into

THE QUICKEST WAY to change your beachbody coach would be to call: 1-800-240-0913 and make the coach change over the phone.  You will just need to provide them with the same information above.

There are a couple of restrictions if you are already a Beachbody Coach yourself or if you have currently have something ordered as an autoship home delivery, but start with the email to Coach Relations and that might be all it takes. Usually they get it switched within a day or two.
